Uhh.. what? Are you really seeing a conspiracy here? Sigh.

React has been relicensed as MIT and it has been broadly announced:

https://code.facebook.com/posts/300798627056246/relicensing-react-jest-flow-and-immutable-js/

This is not a sneaky way to fool somebody, it’s the actual license change. How could it even make sense to change the license file if the license wasn’t changing?

Great decision, thanks Facebook! Please consider doing this for React Native too :)

Most software companies prohibit their mobile app developers from using React-native because of its current licensing (i.e. BSD 3-clause + Additional Grant of Patent Rights)! Is there any plan to change it to MIT as well? For now, they resort to using Angular.

Indeed historical. I am seeing huge drop in developer attention towards Angular considering fast fail changes. Probably React would tread cautiously with non breaking changes. All hail MIT !!
