Interesting. I am still seeing:

"Error:(6, 5) uses-sdk:minSdkVersion 14 cannot be smaller than version 16 declared in library /Users/alvinwoon/AndroidStudioProjects/FirstApp/app/build/intermediates/exploded-aar/com.facebook.shimmer/shimmer/0.1.0/AndroidManifest.xml"

Interesting. I am still seeing:

I believe the issue is that the default maven repository used by AndroidStudio (jcenter) doesn't have the updated packages yet. If you switch to the following in your build.gradle file (and clear caches if necessary), it should work:

allprojects {
    repositories {
        mavenCentral()
    }
}

Or you can wait for a few hours to see the updated packages.
