On January 1, 2022, I released Statistical PERT® Normal Edition Version 5.1, which uses Excel's normal distribution functions to model uncertainty. This new release makes it easier to modify this spreadsheet and have the correct copyright notice included on each worksheet. It also updated the list of USA federal holidays for 2022-2023 (used on the Scheduler worksheet).

On August 14, 2021, I released Statistical PERT® Normal Edition Version 5.0.3 which added optional call-outs on the Burn-up Chart worksheet, to make it easier for consumers of the burn-up chart to see the optimistic, expected and conservative dates.

Previously, Version 5.0.2 added a lookup for choosing whether you are a "Frequentist" or "Bayesian" which is used for some cell labeling only. Version 5.0.1 added a new "WIP Only" chart on the new CFD Charts worksheet, summed the Duration Days column on the Scheduler worksheet, and made minor formatting improvements.

On June 5, 2021, I released Statistical PERT® Normal Edition Version 5. This major update includes two new features and several minor enhancements:

  • NEW! SPERT® Normal Scheduler creates a probabilistic schedule for a project's critical path at either the task or activity level
  • NEW! SPERT® Normal - CFD Charts creates a cumulative flow diagram to map a team's workflow process
  • Smoother bell-curve graphics that use double the number of sampled data points (200)
  • For non-summary bell-curves, a new zoom feature allows fitting the bell-curve inside the Excel combo chart
  • Other minor tweaks and enhancements

On June 13, 2021, I release Statistical PERT® Normal Edition Version 5.0.2 which added a new selection to indicate whether the user is a Frequentist or a Bayesian statistics modeler. This choice has no bearing on the Statistical PERT calculations. It only changes whether certain labels refer to a "confidence interval" or a "credible interval."

Previously, version 5.0.1 added a new "WIP Only" chart on the new CFD Charts worksheet, summed the Duration Days column on the Scheduler worksheet, and made minor formatting improvements.
