2024-11-14: First MVP Release of Private Prompts

I’m excited to introduce the first public MVP release of Private Prompts, now available for both Windows and Linux platform!

This MVP (Minimum Viable Product) version is fully functional and ready for early use, though it’s not yet intended for production environments. Bugs and unforeseen issues may occur, and significant updates to the architecture are likely in upcoming releases.

Installation

Both versions are portable standalone applications — no installation is required. Just launch them with double click.

For Linux users it may be required to set the x-Flag to make the file executable(chmod u+x PrivatePrompts-MVP-001.AppImage)

Uninstallation

To uninstall, simply delete the application file.

Configuration File

The application generates a configuration file to store user settings, which can be edited using any text editor.

The file paths are as follows:

  • Linux: ~/.config/private-prompts-app-electron/config.json
  • Windows: C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\private-prompts-app-electron

You may want to clean up these files if you no longer want to use Private Prompts
