Hi,
Thanks for this great app.
I am looking forward to the sync/cloud integration for this app to enable backing up and syncing across devices.
Wondering if you have looked at the Sandstorm.io project? It is like a management platform for open-source cloud apps, with some innovative ideas, designed to be self-hosted but with freemium hosted service available too. It seems like the perfect platform for a FOSS app like this one that wants to go into the cloud.
I have no experience authoring any web apps on this platform but I understand it can take over lots of the redundant tasks that all web apps need like authentication, etc. letting you just build the app's core functionality. It is built around Meteor.js.
A lot of well-known open source web apps can be hosted in Sandstorm, like Etherpad, Rocket.Chat, WeKan etc.
An Omni-Notes Sandstorm.io app would be awesome. It could provide storage and sync for the Android app. It also looks like it would be relatively simple to develop a web app version of Omni-Notes to enable desktop and cross-device access...

I completely missed the Omni Notes Desktop app, which I've just discovered. Looks great!
So I can see that part is already done! We just need a sync protocol...
