Description

OS 13 has a 'Low Data Mode' (in Wi-Fi network settings). It would be great for web developers to take advantage of this via a JavaScript API so they could provide a lighter experience such as not auto-playing a video background, or loading low DPI images for example.

Chrome already supports this for 'Lite Mode' in Chrome for Android (previously known as Data Saver mode).
