I'd love to see this. Want to set up my squeeze box variant, and the rake task aren't working out for me (then again I'm not very familiar with it).

@rcarmo do you really need to create a new base box from scratch? I mean, there is already a squeeze base box that u could use and repackage after provisioning. if that's not enough please shoot me an email with what you need so that i can help u out :D

Basically I'd like to be able to rebuild the base box from scratch, yes. I'm using the squeeze base box, but we're using an even smaller version and I'd like to rebuild from our deboostrap scripts. :)

Works for me, with the caveat that rootfs != ROOTFS and that sudo failed to take on all of the environment variables for me :)

That said, I've since updated http://the.taoofmac.com/space/HOWTO/Vagrant and built a working wheezy64 base box following those :)

@rcarmo hum... just checking, did you run it from a Debian or Ubuntu host? I'll give a go at converting the current scripts to build base boxes to use that approach when I have a chance and will hopefully iron those issues out (if I run into them :)

I ran it on a Ubuntu 13.04 host. I can try it again on another later on.

@rcarmo hum... I wrote the post on a Quantal VM, maybe there's something different with the templates =/
I'm running 13.04 on my laptop as well so it's likely that I'll run into those issues when I rewrite the scripts, tks for the feedback :)
