WiFi compatible boards and shields
Theoretically, any board supported by the ESP8266 Arduino core should work.
The following boards have been successfully tested:
- Adafruit Feather HUZZAH ESP8266
- Node MCU 0.9
- Node MCU 1.0
- WeMos D1
- ESP-12 Make sure to use a regulated 500 mA or greater power supply.
- ESPectro Core
Users have reported issues attempting to use the following ESP8266 boards with Firmata:
- Sparkfun ESP8266 Thing (reported issue with I2C)
