Hi,

I'm running on Debian Wheezy. I've just install fish from the fish repo. and when I'm running web_config, It start the webserver but nothing append. starts w3m, the connection is accepted but then nothing happens. Pressing CTRL-C exits and shows:

Web config started at 'http://localhost:8000/'. Hit enter to stop.
w3m: Can't load http://localhost:8000/.

I've tried curl and wget on http://localhost:8000/ :

$ curl -v "http://localhost:8000"
* About to connect() to localhost port 8000 (#0)
*   Trying ::1...
* Connexion refusée
*   Trying 127.0.0.1...
* connected
* Connected to localhost (127.0.0.1) port 8000 (#0)
> GET / HTTP/1.1
> User-Agent: curl/7.26.0
> Host: localhost:8000
> Accept: */*

^Cfish: Tâche 1, 'curl -v "http://localhost:8000"' terminée par le signal SIGINT (Requête de sortie du contrôle des tâches (^C))

Then I've tried a wget :

$ wget "http://localhost:8000"
--2014-02-21 11:07:19--  http://localhost:8000/
Résolution de localhost (localhost)... ::1, 127.0.0.1
Connexion vers localhost (localhost)|::1|:8000...échec: Connexion refusée.
Connexion vers localhost (localhost)|127.0.0.1|:8000...connecté.
requête HTTP transmise, en attente de la réponse...

and a netstat :

netstat --listen
Connexions Internet actives (seulement serveurs)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Adresse locale Adresse distante Etat
tcp        0      0 *:8000                  *:*                     LISTEN

My python and fish version :

$ python -V
Python 2.7.3
$ fish -v
fish, version 2.1.0

Thanks for your help

@ridiculousfish

Could it be a firewall issue?

I think it's mostly likely related to #1132 - "If text-mode browsers are used, the calling process will block until the user exits the browser."

@ridiculousfish ridiculousfish modified the milestone: fish-future, fish-tank
