Hi dev team.
It would be great to get fuzzy search built-in to fish's shift-tab search menu.

faho added a commit to faho/fish-shell that referenced this issue Sep 27, 2018

[pager] Do full fuzzy search
Just like the completion code, this now matches e.g. `f-p` to
`format-branch`.

Fixes fish-shell#5213.

I agree and have fixed it now.

What did it for me was that this just unifies filtering done in the pager and before.

E.g. if you do git f-p<TAB>, that completes to git format-patch. But if you did git <TAB> and then searched "f-p", it wouldn't.

Great thanks! Pleasantly surprised to see an enhancement done so quickly(albeit an already-implemented feature)
