With #7276, we've started moving our builtins to --query from --quiet, but we're keeping the old long form around, for the time being.

Unfortunately, #7342 missed that bit for the new type builtin.

This might be worth it for a 3.2.1.

Yes, seems reasonable.

It's supposed to be *deprecated*, not removed. The documentation even
specifically calls it out.
