This course, which is the ninth course of the data science specialization from Johns Hopkins University on Coursera, covers the basics of creating data products using Shiny, R packages, and interactive graphics. The course focuses on the statistical fundamentals of creating a data product that can be used to tell a story about data to a mass audience.

Project App summary
The app I developed for this course project calculates monthly climatology (long term mean) and trend of temperature and rainfall over any selected rectangular region over Africa. The user can selecet either dataset and then the app shows a map and the user can click over any geographic region of interest to get the trend and climatology. This helps to quickly see how climate change is affecting a given region. Here is a slidify presentation on the App: http://datascience-enthusiast.com/R/shiny/index.html#1
