this binding could actually return list of items, which it is hovering not
only the first one. Or at least in case of bars, it could select shortest
bar as item, because then longer bars could be hovered over top of shorter.

Interesting idea. I think I ought to split the hover stuff into a plugin and refactor it a bit, this may be an idea for improving it at that point.

Simple solution is z-ordering bars by size. Big bar - low zindex, small bar - high.
