On first glance everything above looks great.

Then if you look closer, the "Last Update" column actually says the check results are > 1 month old. 馃樀

We should colour cells in the "Last Update" column with stale data red.

There should also be an alert at the top of the page explaining there are stale checks below.

Sounds good.

What threshold do you think we should use to determine staleness? (5 minutes? 1 hour? ... What if you have a check that only runs once a day?)

Maybe brown rather than red?

Random thought - perhaps we could increase the intensity of the colour (or darken the colour) based on age?

Currently no, however we are talking about implementing something to achieve this. @auxesis has some notes on this which will go into a new issue shortly.
