Martin’s Dungeon Bash, or “dungeonbash” for short, is a roguelike game for Unix-like environments, made available under a BSD-style license. There’s an IRC channel #dungeonbash for discussing gameplay, bugs/feature requests, and development on Freenode, and it’s on-topic for the Usenet group rec.games.roguelike.misc. (Development discussion would also be on-topic for rec.games.roguelike.development.) Please put “MPRDB” somewhere in your Subject: header when posting to Usenet about dungeonbash.

Plans for the wiki

I’m currently planning that the wiki will have both technical information (explanations of how the code works) and gameplay information.

The future directions page, once I’ve created it, will discuss assorted plans of various plausibility for possible future developments of the dungeonbash source code.

SLOCCount observations

With the default settings on a Debian system, David A. Wheeler’s SLOCCount run on the src/ directory comes up with a Total Estimated Cost to Develop of $346472 as of fb34d270fd577ff920ae91c6ecb4c3bf12262514, which amuses me no end.
