Big +1.

Stacey has not only run and organised three GitOps Days, but also countless WOUG sessions. If you check out https://fluxcd.io/resources/ - at the very least half the sessions were run by Stacey.

On top of that lots of work on Flux socials and more. Without @staceypotter we wouldn't have had the amount of exposure as a project. I'm very grateful for everything you do - it's always a lot of fun to work together with you!

+1. Without Stacey's fantastic work around Flux events and general community engagement, the project wouldn't be where it is right now in terms of popularity.

I am very happy to recommend Stacey for Flux project membership and I think this recognition is long overdue 🎉

Hello @fluxcd/org-admins, would you mind adding @staceypotter to the https://github.com/fluxcd org, please?

@dholbach the role definition says project members have "Triage role on all fluxcd GitHub org repos". What do you think is the most efficient way to accomplish that? I don't have permission to do that as core maintainer (at least not on all repos). Is that also something the org-admins would do?

"Triage role on all fluxcd GitHub org repos"

is definitely not something we have consistently applied across all project members in the past. We should find a way to do better in the future but, right now I'm nearly sure we don't have an efficient way to grant triage role across all the repos.

If we do have a way I'm just not aware of, then we should consider following up with an audit of the whole project member list to add triage role to everyone who governance says should already have this. (That's a separate issue...)

I don't honestly know. I believe the bit about triage permissions stemmed from earlier revisions of our governance.

I'll defer to the

  • core maintainers if this is sensible to keep (I would say so to make interaction easier and have folks help organise bug reports, etc)
  • org admins on how to most easily implement this - I have no idea

I added this to next meeting's agenda so we don't lose track.

I propose we delete the Triage team and give everyone who is an org member this role. We need all the help we can get with issue/pr labeling.

Discussed in today's meeting. Project members (i.e. everyone in the fluxcd org) will be added to the triage team. So next steps here are:

  1. Add @staceypotter to the fluxcd org
  2. add her to the triage team

@stefanprodan would you be willing to go through these two action items, please?

Then we can close the issue.

All done, Stacey is now an org member part of the Triage team 🎉
