I wish DEV (Forem) had a scratchpad for items I am working on and items I'd like to keep in mind.
There is a "Currently hacking on" entry in the settings, but that's too small, editing is bit difficult, and AFAIK it is plain text.
The concept of the scratchpad is broader than that. It also includes ideas that one day I might address. Or not. But I am not hacking on them any time soon. These could be ideas for articles or for features for Forem.
The scratchpad would support Markdown just as articles do.
The scratchpad would be very accessible to edit, a link directly in the menu that opens when clicking on the user image.
There could be two scratchpads. One public and one private to the user.
As a workaround I used an article draft for this. It has its many drawback. One of them is that it is a bit harder to find and also seeing the yellow draft sign in the dashboard is a bit disturbing. Besides that, I wanted to make some of my thoughts public.
So I started to maintain a published article as my public scratchpad
It would be nice to have a well structure way to do this.
