Some time ago I needed forever to be able to shutdown my app gracefully. And I found no support of custom signal setting. I saw this feature requested in #320.

I've made changes in forever-monitor: nodejitsu/forever-monitor#12
And now I've made one-line commit to forever to make it support the feature.

Thanks, guys!

@indexzero: when will this be published to the npm registry?

Will a new release version with this change be going out to npm anytime soon?

How do you use this from the cli? forever start --killSignal? There's no mention of this in the documentation.

@doughsay by the way, I did not commit documentation about this addition. :) And maybe this change is still not pushed to npm ;)

Looks like it is in v0.10.8
