Repository Analytics

This README now surfaces a set of public, read-only counters so visitors and maintainers can quickly see basic repo metrics:

Badges included above:

  • GitHub Stars, Forks, Issues, License — live GitHub metrics via shields.io
  • Repo Visits — public visits counter (badges.pufler.dev)
  • Unique Visitors — simple profile/repo visit counter (komarev ghpvc)
  • Visitor Badge — another visitor counter (visitor-badge.glitch.me)
  • Views — incremental hits counter (hits.seeyoufarm.com)
  • Repo Card — pinned repo summary (github-readme-stats)

Notes on what these show and how they work:

  • These badges are images that are rendered when the README loads. Each badge service provides a small public API that returns an SVG image.
  • Some badges increment counters when their image is requested (e.g., hits.seeyoufarm and visitor-badge). Others retrieve live data from GitHub or a third-party cache.
  • These are convenient for public visibility but rely on third-party services; they do not expose repository secrets. If you prefer, we can replace any of these with self-hosted analytics or remove them.

Privacy and compliance:

  • The image endpoints receive request metadata (IP, user-agent) when someone views the README. If you require strict privacy/GDPR compliance, choose self-hosted solutions (Matomo / PostHog) or gate badge loading behind consent.
  • For precise traffic/unique-visitor reports, consider configuring a dedicated analytics product (PostHog, Plausible, Matomo) and linking dashboards from the README instead of relying solely on badges.

How to change or remove badges:

  • Edit the top of this README and update or remove the corresponding image URLs.
  • To add more metrics (e.g., CI build status, coverage, release downloads), add appropriate shields.io or service badges.

Open Source & Projects

We welcome contributions and open source collaboration. Explore public repositories under the Forgeora organization for starter templates, tools, and example projects.

Getting Started

If you're a developer looking to run a project locally, the typical flow is:

  1. Fork or clone the repository
  2. Install dependencies (e.g., npm install or pip install -r requirements.txt)
  3. Copy example config files and set environment variables
  4. Run tests and start the dev server

Refer to each project's README for project-specific instructions.

Contributing

We appreciate contributions. Please follow these guidelines:

  • Fork the repository and create a feature branch
  • Open a pull request with a clear description of changes
  • Add tests and documentation for new features
  • Be responsive to review feedback
