Firetray icon will not change if new mail come. #130

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Install firetray
2.Define a custom icon for new mail
3. Receive a mail and see no icon change

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see the icon change when a new mail arrive

What version of the extension (FireTray) are you using?
0.2.7

What application (Firefox, Thunderbird, ...) and which version are you
using?
Thunderbird 3.0.7pre

On what distribution, version and architecture (x86 vs amd64)?
Ubuntu lucid lynx 10.04 (x86_64)

Please provide any additional information below.

I have no problems using those icons. Do you see any information in the error 
console. Also, can you sould try the 0.2.9-dev version from the download area 
and see if the problem persists.

I tested de 0.2.9 dev version... but the "error" wasnt solved.

Version 0.3.2 on icedove 3.0.11 debian Squeeze and I came here to report what I 
thought was the same issue, however, I found a solution.
fireTray accepts an image of arbitrary size and scales it into the mail 
notification icon, but it does the scaling after the number of unread mails has 
been rendered onto the image. Thus a user can influence the size of the numbers 
by supplying an image of suitable size - 40x40 to 80x80 worked fine for me, the 
larger the image, the smaller the numbers. Choosing a large image, as I had 
done, makes the numbers get very small(==invisible).
I could not repro the issue testing it with the test icon linked above though.
