Input Method Editor (IME) for Japanese and other keyboards fails to differentiate between using enter key choose IME option and enter key to send chat message #6299

  1. Use Japanese/Chinese/Korean or any other IME
  2. Start typing, the IME shows possible phonetic to special character convertions
  3. You can move through them with space + keyboard up/down
  4. Press enter to pick your words
    This enter not only selects the word but also sends the chat message.

Nath: I think this is actually a reasonably easy fix now that i've experimented. I think what's happening is the software just needs to detect if the enter event is occurring in the IME selection interface and trigger a break instead of acting to both select the word and send the message at the same time.
