when i add one story, the error tips:
Mysql2::Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near 'where id = 14' at line 1: update issues set position = where id = 14
what can i do?who can help me?

Looking at the message you posted, a function is not giving a record "position" when updating a table.

Assuming the "story" you mentioned is a tracker, and you're trying to create a new issue, in your redmine database, describe a table called 'trackers', and look for a column called 'position'. If it does not exist, you have to upgrade your database (besides installing the plugin):

touch tmp/restart.txt;RAILS_ENV=production bundle exec rake db:migrate

Or maybe you have not installed the plugin:

touch tmp/restart.txt;RAILS_ENV=production bundle exec rake redmine:plugins:migrate NAME=redmine_backlogs

Or maybe it's a bug, you have to read the redmine logs to know where to fix it.

tkx a lot.
i want ask another question:
if the linux have a suitable environment that suitable ruby&rails version. we can direct to install the plugin? and it can auto download and install the redmine too?

why i ask this question. because i find a shell script "redmine_install.sh" in the plugin's root path.

Thank you again for your reply.

I'm sorry, this conversation is completely unrelated to this patch, I shouldn't continue it here, it may be better suited for the redmine forums: https://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/boards/3

But, answering your question, not that I know of. I used an internet howto for Debian/Mysql and later adapted it to Centos/Postgres at a request from our datacenter management team. It used 'rvm' to install Ruby on Rails and Passenger in Apache. Try these keywords and you should find it. I did a personal howto for the versions I use, but it's in portuguese.
