Mastdon+FurryTF

(Also known as "frinkel, did you really need to make all of these changes, i mean, you don't even have a hundred people on your server, why do you need a highly-available redundant setup: The Mastodon Instance")

Front-End changes from the original setup:

  • The maximum character limit is 1500 characters.
  • The maximum profile bio length is 500 characters.
  • Up to 8 profile spots!
  • Up to 60 characters in your username!
  • Furry TF-related changes to text! (Changes only made in English due to my lack of foreign language skills, sorry! :S)
    • Example: the "Toot!" button has been changed to a "Cast TF" button, so you can transform your timeline :3
  • More to come!

Back-End changes from the original setup:

  • Added two new REQUIRED environment variables: FURRYTF_PRIM_URL and FURRYTF_READ_URL.
    • A PostgreSQL URL is required for both fields. (Format: postgresql://DB_USER:DB_PASS@DB_HOST:DB_PORT/DB_NAME)
    • The intent is to put a "master" database URL in FURRYTF_PRIM_URL, and a read-only replica database URL in FURRYTF_READ_URL.
    • May make this more similar to the original config in the future.
  • Possibly more to come?
