<body>
<p>FastClick is instantiated on the body element, so all visible elements on this page will receive fast clicks - except one.</p>
<p>The layers marked <var>A</var> and <var>B</var> both have <code>click</code> handlers that will attempt to trigger focus on the <code>input</code> element programatically. However, <strong>on iOS before version 5.0</strong>, touch event handlers are not allowed to trigger focus on other elements.</p>
- <p>On earlier versions of iOS, only <var>B</var> will succeed at triggering focus on the input element, because it has a <code>needsclick</code> class which will instruct FastClick not to trigger a programmatic click in the touch event handler and let the system click event go through instread.</p>

I know it's not part of FastClick, but I've looked lots of places on StackOverflow to try and find the answer to this and I see you're having the same issue: visit this page on an iPhone using iOS8 (really I think any iOS version will have this problem) and scroll down so that the A and B boxes are in view and the input is out of view. Notice that when you click the letters it doesn't scroll the page to center the input. Only when you physically tap the input does it center. Again, I know it's not your focus (no pun intended lol) with this plugin (which I'm currently using and loving btw) but any ideas?

Hey @dwilt, I believe that when you comment on this commit, I'm the only person who is notified, and as you can see, my contributions to FastClick are limited to stuff like fixing typos in their examples. Maybe try creating an Issue?
