Ordinarily, I tend toward minimalist setups.
The new retail functionality to let addon authors "hide" their addon's icon, within a pop-out Container, in the manner that
other addons used to do - instead of surrounding the minimap with ugly circles of differing sizes and orbits - is great.

The only problems are:
(a) Sexymap does not appear to have integrated the 'Container' as yet, (that I can detect). Meaning...
(b) ...For those addon authors that HAVE taken advantage of it and 'hidden' their icons there, they can
no longer be seen or accessed while SexyMap is enabled. This is a bit of a 'show-stopper'.
Examples include Simulationcraft, WeakAuras & RareScanner, with the first of these being critical.

Could this functionality be reflected somehow within SexyMap please.

Problem exists as of v10.1.0

This will need to be looked in to and supported, but it's low priority since SexyMap already has a way of handling minimap icon cleanliness - only showing on hover. Due to this feature, it most certainly is not a "show-stopper".

Ordinarily, I would wholeheartedly agree with this; SexyMap's 'Show on Hover' is exactly how I have handled clutter. (Although I have often wondered what some user's minimaps must look like with literally dozens of addons enabled... which is why the Container is, however badly implemented and ugly, a welcome change.)

The problem is that when an author marks their add-on to be 'stored' in the new Container, it is no longer visible to SexyMap's Buttons >> Addon Buttons tab, and can therefore no longer be seen, accessed, manipulated or used at all.

As 'addon clutter' has historically always been a thing, I can only assume that more and more authors will do their users the 'favour' of hiding their icon here and, if they are forward-thinking, they will also add an option to their settings for the user to choose where their icon ultimately displays... as I have now discovered that WeakAuras and RareScanner have chosen to incorporate.

The issue remains with those addons that assume the icon will be visible through the Container; and do not wish to add an option through GUI, command line or the 'Hover over the Container icon' option. To all intents and purposes their addon is working correctly, but cannot be seen if SexyMap is used. (See screenshot below for example.)

Thank you for your prompt response. I have used and loved SM for over a decade, but this is the first time it has ever interfered with day-to-day usage of the game.

Many addons are now removing their minimap icon in favor of the addon compartment, which as @mamapapaxp mentions - no longer have clickable buttons.

No one is removing their minimap icons, that would be stupid because this is only available on retail wow, so keeping the option to toggle the minimap icon allows the user to choose.

Locking this as no further input is needed.

Many thanks for the 10.1.1 fix. You are, as ever, a legend.
