Fusion Alliance SSIS Components

A collection of helpful - and necessary - components for SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

The project is maintained with Visual Studio 2015 Community edition and is designed to work with SQL Server Data Tools for Visual Studio 2015. The target framework is .NET 4.6.2.

Tasks

Download File Task

Download a file from a URI.

Settings:

Generate Timestamp Task

The Generate Timestamp Task allows you to generate a timestamp using standard C# format specifiers. This is typically much more convenient than generating SQL date objects and casting/converting to strings.

Settings:

  • FormatSpecifier: A C# DateTime format specifier. (Default: yyyyMMddHHmmssffffff.)
  • UseUTC: If True, a UTC timestamp will be used. Otherwise, the local machine timestamp will be used.
  • ResultVariable: Name of the variable to store the result.

Generate UUID Task

Generate a new UUID (GUID).

Settings:

  • FormatSpecifier: Choose between lower/upper case and with/without hyphens.
  • ResultVariable: Name of the variable to store the result.

SFTP Download Task

The SFTP Download Task allows you to download a file or a directory from a remote SFTP server.

Settings:

  • Host: The remote host for the download.
  • Port: The SFTP port for the remote host.
  • Username: The username for the remote host.
  • Password: The password for the remote host.
  • SourcePath: The source path (remote machine) for the download.
  • TargetPathType: The type of target path (value or file connection).
  • TargetPath: The target path (local machine) for the download. If TargetPathType is Value, then it is expected that this will be a value or a variable set in the Expression Editor. If TargetPathType is FileConnection, then this is the name of a file connection string.

Deploying the Components

SSIS components must be installed to the GAC and the appropriate DTS folder for your system. You must be running as an administrator.. You can use gacutil.exe to add the necessary libraries to your GAC.

> gacutil.exe /i Renci.SshNet.dll
> gacutil.exe /i Fusion.SSIS.Tasks.dll

If you are using the SQL Server defaults, your DTS directory will be located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\140\DTS\.

> copy Fusion.SSIS.Tasks.dll "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\140\DTS\Tasks"
