I use fusioninventory-netinventory to generate XML files for network devices and printers. The goal is to make the first import "manually" then the device is taken into account for the automatic inventory.
It works well for switches.
For the printers, the IP is not imported.
The IP is present in the XML file, it is visible in the "Import information" menu under the "Criteria" column but the IP is not imported.
The network port(s) is (are) created with the MAC but no IP information.
To reproduce, just generate an XML file from a printer using fusioninventory-netinventory then try to import the XML file to create a printer or update an existing one. No IP information imported.
I tested on different printer brands and models. It never works.
Here attached, an XML file I generated today from a printer.
The system config is : GLPI 9.4.5 + FI 9.4+2.3, Agent version 2.5.2-1 under Debian.
Hello,
As I understand, the code that is supposed to take care of the IP infirmation is just missing for the printers type of device.
It works well for the switches.
Is there anything I can do to help you with that?
Thanks,
JC

Thanks for taking this into account.
