I personally don't like it, but some people (judging by reviews I read on the net) seem to prefer a toolbar button over a context menu item. Should add the option to add one, though I am not currently considering making it the default.

This is very low priority, but keeping it here so I don't forget.

Also, patches welcome :)

More and more pages are taking over the right-click function, so a context menu item is not usable. For those cases a toolbar button is indispensible. For example maps.google.com, which sorely needs shortened URLs typically. Please consider this item with higher priority.

Thank you for your comment, Bob! I'd be happy to do that. It's not very hard to do, and seems like it'll help a lot. Stay tuned

Thanks for being receptive! Now I think of it, a context menu item for the tab would be even better. No need for extra buttons in the toolbars. Similar to how "Tab Mix Plus" add-on adds a menu item for "Duplicate Tab". Possible?

Tentatively, no I don't think that's possible (without much more complex code such as what TMP uses).

That said, a toolbar button is probably not TOO much overhead. If you don't like it in your actual toolbar, you can totally keep it in the "drawer" that new versions of Firefox have.
