BioBlend with CloudMan on Windows Azure? #33

I was thinking that I might be able to provide a python library to support BioBlend with Cloudman on Windows Azure. The library has to use Windows SDK instead of boto to utilize Azure Virtual Machines but most features should be similar. More details should be described but by using azure-sdk-for-python, it shouldn't be difficult.

What do you think? I would like to hear any thoughts and comments for that.

That would be quite nice but the underlying question/problem is that there should be CloudMan available on Azure, right? Otherwise, BioBlend won't be of much use. Putting CloudMan on Azure may be a completely different beast though.
I guess the right approach for this would be to either abstract everything one layer up and have a cloud-independent API interface that's then implemented inside BioBlend via cloud-specific libraries. Or, probably better, just using something like libcloud.

Old issue - if it emerges again can be revisited. Closing for now.
