"Something went wrong" during authentication

I get an error message on the Google sign-in page when attempting to authenticate with my own credentials:

Something went wrong

Sorry, something went wrong there. Try again.

gmi auth -c ~/Downloads/client.json

This occurs on the latest release gmi, the latest commit (pipx install .), and the most recent commit which passed all tests (54c7201).

I've used these credentials in the past on another computer with success. I'll debug further tomorrow and post an update.

I get the same error if I try to re-authenticate (gmi auth --force ...) on a currently-working computer with a previously-working client secret. I assume Google has changed some requirement between now and the last time I set up Lieer.

Have you tried doing a fresh auth without any previous state files? Or could something have happened to your API key? The weirdest error I get with this is when not using the full account name, but an alias when trying to log in/auth.

Yes. To confirm, I created a new client secret and deleted ~/mail/myemail.gmail.

I'm taken to Google's auth page where I select the correct account (myemail@gmaill.com). I continue through the auth flow and then get the "Something went wrong" notice. Do I need to set an explicit host or port through gmi?

My client secret looks like this:

I'm authenticated!

I re-ran the gmi auth ... command (above) and copied it into a private window on the advice of a stack overflow answer. I logged in with username, password (and 2fa), then it worked!
