The link for the chrome extension :
Can you update the link ? I could not find the "new" link in the chrome webstore.
Google disallowed the distribution of (removed) the extension with the current naming and graphical assets. New name and assets will probably be mgauth, but has not been decided.
Can it still be built by checkout the source ?
The best solution is to use http://gauth.apps.gbraad.nl and link it. It should use your local AppCache to create an offline instance. I know it is a workaround, but it works on Firefox, Chrome, iPad and the N9 as a good alternative solution. However, if needed I can offer packaged developer zips which you can deploy on your local Chrome install.
Thanks, i'll try it out. Yes, i think it would be useful to have an "alternative" zip pending the required branding changes. Could you for example attach it to this ticket ?
The link could be updated to: https://5apps.com/apps/4fd87e80c439344a17000003
Needs to be fixed by 'resubmissions' (pun intended) to the chrome webstore. Updated assets are needed before this can happen, see: #16
For now, use the hosted version at http://gauth.apps.gbraad.nl or the 5apps deploy: https://5apps.com/apps/4fd87e80c439344a17000003
Just FYI: we improved the 5apps app page for mobiles, and you can now reach them at /user/app:
Any idea when this will be back in the webstore? We at riseup.net would like to link to this for the chromium extension for our users as we are rolling out a new webmail with HOTP support, but many of our users will not be able to manage downloading the git and building the extension.
After consideration I republished the application with a temporary icon to the Chrome Web Store: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/gauth-authenticator/ilgcnhelpchnceeipipijaljkblbcobl
Thank you Gerald!
Changed the icon/artwork of the favicon, Apple Touch Icon, Firefox Marketplace and the Chrome Web Store.
