BARTOC (https://bartoc.org), a terminology registry for KOS developed by
Basel University Library, precisely aims at achieving these objectives: to describe
KOS in a uniform way (e.g. http://bartoc.org/en/node/15); to visualize them
and to make them browsable for humans (e.g. http://bartoc.org/en/node/459/visual)

The URLs with ../visual don't work anymore, could become redirects.

The underlying "BARTOC Skosmos Vocabulary Browser", run with Poolparty, is not online anymore.
