Need a default Error controller, and ability to use sub-controllers for each type of supported HTTP error, to allow people to customize error pages.

I want this so bad. Nice 500 error pages with nice error messages printed on them would be nice.

/agree

but I'm dreaming big, I also want to write clever 404 pages.

Any update on this? Workarounds? Is it possible to change the http status code when doing this.respond and serve a static page?

Still can't find ways to customize error page. Would be nice if we're able to.

@mde this could be tackled with the responder stuff, yeah?

in the meantime there is a controller.error method that you can probably override to do the same thing. just have a dir of files like 404.html.ejs, and use the http status code to render the right one. the controller.respond method has an option to specify a view file.

thanks @ben-ng for the suggestion! I would give a try

This is already implemented.
