2.5.9-Linux-Alpha Pre-release
Pre-release

Update to 2.5.9 upstream, version to go with instructions in beatsaber-linux-goodies repo.

Very early build for Linux

  • A warning will be displayed about IPA.exe, see below for details
  • Wine prefix will be updated by beatdrop in order to correctly load mods at runtime

Notes

  • Released by myself as a test build, so not part of beatdrop officially yet
  • This is a very early build and will have bugs
  • If you have problems please don't review bomb bs
  • If you have problems please don't raise issues against other projects
  • If your mods don't work test them on Windows first

Linux Installation (Early Alpha)

Instructions over on https://github.com/geefr/beatsaber-linux-goodies

  • BeatDrop can install mods as it would on Windows
  • BeatDrop cannot run IPA.exe for you, so you'll need to run a shell script for this
  • You'll need to change the Proton version in Steam to 'Proton BeatSaber' for things to work

As with Windows after the initial setup you can just run BeatDrop again to install more mods, at least until Beat Saber receives an update.

Linux Installation (Early Alpha)

  • Clean install of beatsaber through steam
  • Run BS once
  • Run beatdrop, install mods as usual

TODO: Run IPA.exe to patch the game

Assuming it worked you should have 'winhttp.dll' in the beatsaber directory.

From then on just run beatdrop when needed to download new stuff and enjoy
