When enabled, You'll see a toggle button in the admin bar When toggled to "Simpler view", the admin bar is simplified to just editing options (And now it even works on mobile!

Simplify edit post pages by switching to a single column,, The plugin also replaces the publish box with simpler "publish" and "save" buttona (Mobile view:

  1. Download the plugin files, and unzip them, if necessary.
  2. Upload the simpler-edit-post-page directory to your wp-content/plugins directory.
    1. Visit your plugins page in the wp-admin and activate the "Simpler Edit Post Page" plugin.

If you have the plugin enabled, but still see two columns when editing a post, you've probably forgetting to enable the post type :-)

  1. Click the "settings" link on the "plugins" page, under "Simpler Edit Post Page" Or visit Settings > Simpler Edit Post Page settings
  2. Select the post types you want to have a simpler edit screen. Save the settinsg.
  3. Visit the edit screen for an existing post, or "add new" and you should see a simpler, single column layout with one big save button.
