Gem gets uploaded without a spec #81

We have an internal gem that, when uploaded, doesn't create a spec under $DATA_DIRECTORY/quick/Marshal.4.8/

The .gem file does exist under $DATA_DIRECTORY/gems/ and in $DATA_DIRECTORY/latest_specs.4.8, however.

As a result, requesting the index of the geminabox server throws a undefined dependencies for nil error because getting the spec returns nil for this gem.

Any thoughts on why the spec is not getting uploaded?

I'm getting this exact same issue, and it's wildly frustrating. Any new gem I push to our server shows up in our list, but doesn't get a corresponding gemspec.rz file in the directory mentioned above.

Could this issue potentially be making a comeback?

Edit: I blew away everything in my data directory aside from the actual .gem files themselves, reindexed, and now they show up (the .gemspec.rz files). What gives?

If I had to bet, I would be that this is the upload race. See #115
