It would be nice it the project could be run on Glitch as easily as it can be run on Netlify.

With a little adaptation I think the hello-express example project Glitch provides could be used as a start. Rebuilding would have to be handled a little bit differently since Glitch doesn't have a webhooks we could use, as far as I know.

We don't want the site rebuilding on every page load, so my approach would be:

  • Add a path to server.js so that we can trigger rebuilds at something like /rebuild/[hash] on a POST or GET request
  • Store the hash in the Glitch project's .env file
  • Setup IFTTT (or whatever you want to use) to ping the URL regularly and rebuild, just like the Netlify example.

If/when I get this done I think I'll store it in a glitch branch.
