Maybe no TopComponent is declaring itself as belonging to your "GeoGroup" Perspective?

Well I succeed adding a new pannel on my perspective and displaying it without making everithing crash.
But I had to add " if (tpg != null) " befor both " tpg.close() " and " tpg.open() " in the PerspectiveController class. I know it's not the good solution, but now it's sure the problem come from the TopComponent ... So the next question is why can't the " TopComponentGroup tpg = WindowManager.getDefault().findTopComponentGroup(perspective.getName()); " instruction see the TopComponent of my perspective ?

I fixed that issue in the trunk, sorry about that it seems obvious to check for not null group. Can you please try again?
