OpenCV 3.0 removes the gpu namespace and replaces it with something else. Also, it has vastly improved OpenCL support as compared to back when we decided to use the gpu module.

Rewrite the CUDA background tasks to use the new CUDA/OpenCL functionality.
Identify other places in the code where we can profit from the new functionality -- often just by changing the mat type, see: http://docs.opencv.org/master/db/dfa/tutorial_transition_guide.html

Hi @ypnos

After following all the installation instructions I get stuck on this -
Screenshot 2019-08-07 at 1 06 59 PM

Mac OS - 10.14.5
OpenCV - 3.4.7
Boost - 1.7.0

I had edited the Vole Files, Cmake files to make it build with these configurations. This error comes when I run make in the gerbil directory.
Do we have OPENCL support for gerbil?

I see there are a handful of background tasks under the cuda directory. Will rewriting them for OPENCL fix this?

Also can you please tell how to start the gui application. I am a python programmer with a shallow C++ backgroud. TIA.
