Currently, the only way to change the order of pages in the pages section is the sortBy option. While this is probably enough in most use cases, an option to simply flip the »natural« oder would be helpful. Especially in cases where the collection of pages is relatively large and presorted, I assume reversing the order to be more efficient than to sort the whole collection again.

To give an example why this option was helpful in v2:

There are two problems I usually run into when working on a website with a lot of projects:

  • the order of the projects in the panel: the most recent project should be listed first
  • the numbering of the projects: the numbering of projects should not change when a new project gets added so that syncing to my local development environment doesn't re-download all the projects.

So these two requirements get in the way of one-another: since panel displays pages 1....100 I'd have to add new projects to the start of the list, triggering a re-write of the numbers of all other projects.
The flip: true option in v2 was the ideal solution: the most recent project is listed first in the panel but at the same time adding a new project didn't force renumbering. The only other thing needed was flipping the projects again in the frontend when listing them.

Though, maybe there is a smarter solution in v3 to solve this problem.

Edit: I'm not sure if it was like that in v2 but I think it would be ideal to also flip the order in the status-change positioning dropdown when the option flipped is set for the parent page.
