Getting started

You’re passionate about explaining technology not just to your family and friends but to millions of learners? You want to create your own courses on coding concepts and tech topics? Great! This guide will help you figure out how to get there and where to start.

Who is this guide for?

The goal of this guide is to make it as easy as possible for you to start writing courses on Mimo. The guide will go over the process of becoming a contributor and take an in-depth look at how we structure and write courses.

What does the application process look like?

We've divided the application process for contributors into two parts: part 1 is all about understanding how Mimo courses look like and, based on that, drafting an outline of your first Mimo course. In part 2, you’ll actually create a small chunk of that course.

Start with the first part of the application process and come back later to have a look at part 2.

We’ve also created a list of helpful resources to come back to whenever you need. Use the list as a reference and as a tool to quickly access the documents when you need them later. No need to go ahead and read all of it right now, though. We’ll walk you through the essential steps when the time is right. Start with Application process part 1.
