  1. gallery was losing ordering

    black-puppydog committed Apr 2, 2019
sorry for the quick and dirty PR.
It seems that the sorting was actually getting lost in older python versions. IIRC, python 3.6 introduced `dict`s that retain the insertion order, but it shouldn't really be relied on. I'm on python 3.5 though, and the dict implementation was jumbeling up the sort that happens a few lines before as it seems.

  5. Fail meaningfully for RSS_LINKS_APPEND_QUERY

    tedder committed Mar 1, 2019
Valid values for `FEED_LINKS_APPEND_QUERY` (or `RSS_LINKS_APPEND_QUERY`) are `None`, `False`, or a string. It's sort of devious, because presumably if False is allowed, True is also allowed. Further, the error is more buried since the config string is abstracted and passed down the stack, making it difficult to understand what is actually failing.

Perhaps there's a reasonable default that could be used in the truthy-true-but-not-string case, but having a descriptive failure is a step in that direction.

    Tested locally with false/true/string.

Added myself to authors since this is about my fourth PR, I guess.
  6. update deadlink to python-markdown

`pythonhosted` was giving a 404 for this. This is the source, more or less.

  1. Add a pointer to the default posting format

    tedder committed Feb 28, 2019
I was trying to figure out how to create a new_post without needing to pass `-f markdown`. Apparently it is by setting the PAGES tuple order. I'd guessed CONTENT_FORMAT="Markdown" or METADATA_FORMAT="Pelican". I was wrong.

There's probably a better way to document this but it's the best I could easily figure out.
