ETA on csv data or please provide mirrors #3

It is not a money problem, it is just a time one. I currently rewrite the script to generate the files and took the latest improvements of the V5.0 and take into account that there was some design problems in the last format. so the format won't be the same as the CSV one for the v 4.0 (it will include more data, as speed and so on) so please be patient. this is done for free on my spare time :) |
Thank you David ! :-) We really appreciate your work & service ! Cheers, |
Hi David, can we support you somehow ? Cheers, |
Hi not really, I currently explore the new format (It will contains speed thanks, you re the first to ask without complain :) Best regards Le 08/04/2016 20:38, Jiri Jetmar a écrit :

Hi David, thank you for the response. Yes, people are very fast rude, but I prefer to ask in a friendly way & always offer help to get things done. Thats the best approach on a long-term perspective. Ok, let me know when I can try it out :-) Thanks. Cheers, |
Hey - it's 2 months later - I was wondering if we had an update for v4 with the CSV files? I just installed the local instance and then encountered the issue. OR OR ULTIMATELY, I'd like to be able to use this in my application to plot Twitter locations - these are user entered/poorly spelled/etc addresses...and of course I need it in a week ;-) Let me know what options there are, THANKS! |
I had the same address input problem than you, with enough data, you can try and match adresses with your own database. There's also photon, which you should check or nominatim. They are not as good as this but who knows when the csv files will be released. |
same issues here ! |
Hi all, Effectively, the script is not complete yet. i work on it and it the new export will have speed limits for street, number of lanes, if the street is toll,... a new files with administrative divisions will also be available (order by admin level). all the cities will have their administrative division tree, the shape of the house (those wich have numbers) , and much more. the new format won't be compatible with v 4.0 importer and I have to do code modification. I also work to import openAdresses and have started a relevance branch based on all the feedbacks. now Gisgraphy is able to do house number interpolation (we got number 1 and 20 is database, and we search for number 12=>now it will interpolate) address parser will also be more powerfull then I have to run an import. so i think the beta of v 5.0 will be for christmas. I work hard but it seems that the relevance will be very very impressive as you see things are not stuck but please be patient :) David |
Thanks for the update ! |
Hi David I'm trying to setup a private server for reverse geocoding using the last beta available on your site.. unfortunately I'm facing the importer error (csv not available) I read here you're working on the next release but meanwhile what can I do? I see data is available in PBF format.. is there any way to import such datas? any documentation/hint? thank you in advance |
hi Gisgraphy is still alive :), the first commit of v 5.0 is done: It is the very first draft pre alpha without all the functionnalities |
Sounds like good progress |

How can we go about being part of the Beta test? |
Hi
the import is in progress :)
For those who want to join the internal beta test (in beginning of may) :
send a mail, give an IP address from wich you will call the servers.
then I will send a mail with the ip of the server (in may). betat test
will be open 15 days. and I will wait for feedbacks and bugs.
The number of requests will be limited to 2 requests per second and will
only got US, Germany and France, to avoid the fact that people consider
the server as a free ressources ;-)
those that will do usefuls feedbacks will have more time to test the new
versions, the others will have the beta test closed.
sorry for those strict conditions but I pay the server with my personal
money and has to limit the abuse.
thanks for your compréhension

Hi David, Is there any more progress on the Beta? Thanks |
Beta is open on 1st december.
I need an IP address from wich you will do the request (it is a
restricted access)
All people interested can send me a mail.
You will be limited in number of request per seconds and with little
performance (don't expec to run a batch or test performance, the goal is
to detect problem before put it in production)

I'm trying to run this locally as a test; if you're not planning to release any data compatible with version 4, could you let us know how to run an import without the CSV files? Or is the translation from the OSM data not part of the open source project? I understand that it would take a long time, but it would be good to at least have the option. Thank you! |
Hi
I always try to launch the version 5.0, but I always find some
improvements to do. I have decided to launch the beta in january and
launch the official version in february.
The files and the version will be available in beginning of january,
there will be some docker images to ease the installation and a brand
new site :)

Thank you! Will try it out. |
Sorry to sound rude but it's been more than a month now or just wall it behind a small fee of 5$.
