We prevented that because v3.5.5 introduced a serious regression with the symptom that plenty of tests in Git's test suite simply hung. As of git-for-windows/msys2-runtime#82, these hangs seem to be a thing of the past, so let's upgrade again, in preparation for Git for Windows v2.48.*.
