Make it so clone can be based off of an existing workspace, including all the mappings in it. Or, make clone work with a workspace mapping xml file.
It would be nice if there was a way to keep the mapping info with the repo, so that it's there when you clone it. Maybe a ".git-tfs-mappings.xml" file in the root?
Workspace mapping file would be great. Not always TFS structure fits good to Git.
Sometimes it's necessary to exclude some folders, or change relative paths etc.

Yeah, I think you'd give up TFS branches if you used the workspace mapping.
