The windows download page links to msys-git 1.7.11-preview20120620, but the Google Code download page for the project lists 1.7.11-preview20120710 (with spiffy new matching icon!) as the latest version. In fact, the former is listed as 'deprecated'. Since the Google Code home page is now gone, it seems git-scm.com is the only official source way to get to msysgit, so I would think it needs to provided the latest version.

Is there any reason why the link is not up to date? Does the Windows download page just need someone to maintain it?

This is a huge issue since "git svn" doesn't work at all with 1.7.11-preview20120620 (msysgit/msysgit#32)

Also the download says the latest version is 1.7.12, which is incorrect. This caused loads of confusion to me.

Fix this ASAP!!!

This is fixed in code. The deployment is being made right now. The
latest version of git is 1.7.12. The version for Windows lags behind,
that's all.
