I think it would be useful to distinguish these. For example, the color of the name of a remote branch could be shown in a different color from a local branch.
Something like GitX-dev does:
Using the theme editor, it would be easy to change the color to suit one's preference.
As per the theme file, at the moment status badge colors are:
{ normal, selected, conflicted, head, notification }
I propose to change to:
{ normal-local, normal-remote, tag, selected, conflicted, head, notification }
