LDAP group to teams dont work in 1.3.2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. configured LDAP in gitblit.properties
2. configured groupmemberpattern 
3. set realm.ldap.maintainTeams = true

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
LDAP groups in teams view

nothing not even adding users to a group @git_admins work for admin users


What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.3.2

Please provide any additional information below.
I have tested my search pattern with ldapsearch and I get what I want there 

I have a older ldap setup without memberof attributes on user entrys...

I can confirm that LDAP groups work as Gitblit teams in version 1.3.2, I guess it may
have to do with your setup.
One thing to know is that you will not see the LDAP groups in the teams view unless
a member of that group has logged in to Gitblit. At least that is true with realm.ldap.synchronizeUsers.enable
= false. I guess it could be different if that is set to true, I haven't tried it.

Maybe you need to offer more specifics of your configuration. For example, do you use
groups within groups? Do you use aliases for groups?

I've enhanced the LDAP Feature in a way, that it synchronizes teams and users to ldap
groups and users when the property realm.ldap.synchronizeUsers.enable = true is set.

When this is done you can configure a time period with the property realm.ldap.synchronizeUsers.ldapSyncPeriod
= 5 MINUTES, in which the users and groups are synced with the ldap directory.

Over all this keeps the gitblit users and groups in sync with our ldap directory, which
is the master for all users and groups.

In my environment then the users and groups are shown, even when no ldap user has logged
in before.

Currently the enhancement resides in my local repository.

If yes should I link it to this issue (create a branch) or do you want to create a
new feature request, since I don't know if this enhancement will solve this issue.

In 1.4.0 memberof shouldn't break the loading of groups from users, since the DN from
users and the groupmemberpattern is used to determine if a user is member of a group.

Alfred's PR fixes a regression between 1.3.2 and master which does not affect the 1.3.x
releases.  LDAP Group -> Team mapping is known to be working so this is a configuration
problem.  I assume that since there has been no additional feedback since the OP this
has been resolved by a configuration fix or you have moved on. Closing issue.
