What gas price should I use?

Basic Answer

gitcoin is smart enough to set a gas price that will confirm within 5 minutes. so if thats what was filled in when you pressed the button on gitcoin, that value should be good

that said, the ethereum mainnet network conditions have wildly fluctuated between 5 gwei and 50 gwei in the last weeks. if you want to do more fine tuned tuning of gas prices,

Advanced Answer

  1. go to to see current network conditions
  2. choose a gas value that matches the confirmation time (and price ETH) you'd like
  3. use that value

What gas / gas limit should I use?

gitcoin is smart enough to set a gas / gas limit that will successfully execute the transaction. in 99% of cases, your best bet is to use the value that's filled in from gitcoin.
