"Open x in Remote" commands aren't always available

I have a repo which appears to be structured just the same as many of my others repos, except that when I open files in this project in Code, none of the Open x in Remote commands (such as Open File in Remote and Open Branch in Remote) are available. The commands simply do not appear in the command palette.

I've tried reloading the project, restarting Code, etc.

What information can I provide in order to help debug this? Thanks in advance.
